The Coaching Process
how I do what I do
My coaching process has been specifically designed to embrace and achieve your unique goals and aspirations. Using evidence-based methods coupled with my counseling background, we do more than just make a list. We unpack your roadblocks, the things that bring you joy, and how these things intertwine in your daily life. We use IT ALL to manifest your best future state.
Here’s what it looks like
- Identify your goals and expectations through an initial assessment
- Name and describe the roadblocks stopping you from your desired state and further refine goals to be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, timely)
- Create a strategic action plan based on your SMART goals that include bite sized tasks and timeline markers
- Implement accountability by taking action towards your goals as I provide guidance, support and feedback
- Celebrate your wins and refine the action plan as needed
Frequently Asked Questions
Generally speaking, a therapist’s role is to help you heal from the past, while a life coach’s focus is more about guiding you to a better version of your current self. Our work together will include helping you to understand how your past has contributed to your present situation, and reframing limiting beliefs that are no longer working for you.
While life coaching is supportive, it is not therapy or any other type of mental health care. It is different from counseling because it is not designed to address psychological issues. Coaching is not intended to be a replacement for counseling, psychiatric interventions, or treatment for mental illness or substance abuse.
All sessions are held either via Zoom or in-person. This process allows a more personable connection where we can remotely collaborate together working toward your success. It also allows the flexibility for you to carve out this time commitment from anywhere, and removes time and location constraints. Please come as you are, no judgment here!
I can understand your want to ensure that this investment will be justified. It tends to be a common behavior to prioritize everyone but yourself. Investing in things that will make you a better, happier, thriving version of yourself benefits everyone! Investing in yourself is not frivolous, but rather may require additional planning. I’m happy to talk more about this with you and come up with a solution that works best for you.
